In the work from the "Sonnets" series, poetic form becomes visible in its characteristic arrangement into 14 lines divided into two quatrains and two tercets. By means of tautology, Vlado Martek visualized lines by repeating them until he achieved the form of a sonnet the content of which reflected the "reality" of poetry. Hence, his poems consist of white and yellow, ochre and red lines, made of cut out paper, from wooden leftovers of a sharpened pencil, or from statements by which he rejects metaphor or asks himself how to begin or finish a poem.
