Emotion. Pure Emotion. White Space in White Space – Text-Art
/3
Starting in 1977 Stano Filko continued developing “White Space in White Space” on his own, and published the manifesto “Emotion.” This folded four-page document, printed on both sides in English, Slovakian, German, and French, contains a “White Space” chronology, proceeding via “Sensibility” and “Sensitivity” before transitioning to “pure emotion.” Filko also defined a new category in his oeuvre with the additional label “Text-Art.” And inserted into the manifesto is a page bearing two illustrations that show the artist applying white paint to the ceiling of a room with a paint roller.
