“Portraits” is the artist’s first photographic work consisting of black-and-white photographs, shot in Edinburgh during the international Edinburgh Art Festival. It consists of portraits of the 12 participants of the Festival (Gergely Urkom, Marina Abramović, Richard Demarco, Raša Todosijević ...), who were shot from the back. The distance is present towards the content being shot as well as towards the viewer who can identify the person on the photograph if s/he reads the caption below the photograph written by the artist. One typical artistic theme is turned upside-down and the concept of portrait is deconstructed in a cold-hearted manner. B.S.
