"From the Very Bottom of Silence" belongs to the series of "Homeless Paintings" that refers to the artist’s traumatic experiences from the wartime. It is composed of pieces of plywood painted with abstract landscapes that overlap one another. The composition is built around the image of a extended hand—a motif repeated in many works of Rosenstein. It seems to be a gesture of a hopeless beseech. A.S.
