In this work, Johann Jascha likewise plays with the notion of pornography while in equal measure referring to umbilical pleasures. It is difficult to define with just which part of the body the artist is playing in these photographs. On a visual level, vaginal references link to the umbilical cord and notions of maternity as well as to activation of the body’s pleasure zones. W.S.
