The video “Nothing. Work for Result” presents glimpses through the refrigerator, from which the female protagonist takes different kinds of food. Her head and face as well as her upper body are covered with a black fake fur costume that leaves open only a slit across the eyes, much like a burka. From the perspective of the camera installed inside the fridge, spectators can see the protagonist taking out a melon, a cake, or pasta, which she attempts to eat from inside her costume. The beginning of this video shows only close-ups, but one eventually sees the woman in her entirety—naked underneath her body-costume. She puts mayonnaise on a roll for a hot dog after which some of the food gets spilled on the floor. Towards the end, one of her ankles is tied to a heater by means of beige tights. With this grotesque scenario, Kleytman demystifies the sexualization of the female body while conjuring up notions of fetish and bondage but also basic needs. W.S.
