In late 2000, Škart was invited to stage the action “Your Shit – Your Responsibility” at the Center of Cultural Decontamination in Belgrade. In order to perform the song “Svete krave” [Holy Cows] by Arsen Dedić, a choir had to be formed. An audition was announced publicly to B-92 listeners but eventually canceled, with all those who had gotten in touch simply being invited to participate. Since then, the resulting choir Horkeškart has performed in numerous locations. 2005 saw the curatorial collective WHW invite Škart to participate in their exhibition on artist groups, entitled “Creative Collectivity”, at the Fridericianum in Kassel. For the video that they presented there, “Naše Čudo” [Our Miracle], Horkeškart performed the “Song of Construction,” written by Gvido Tartalja in 1947. The choir, having climbed up an old industrial tower with “TITO” in large letters at its top, is seen singing the song while playing various instruments. “Songs of renovation and construction” were meant to be very optimistic—celebrating socialist achievements—and were often sung by volunteer worker youth brigades and at school events.
