"Legs in the Morning" is something of a portrait-in-old-age in which the artist presents herself with composure and humor; she effects this portrait not by showing her face or her hands, but rather her legs, pictured below the knees. Geta Brătescu shows her naked legs in five different positions arranged alongside one another, as if five people were sitting side-by-side, each of them seeming to tell a minimalistic but expressive story.
