A foreign office in a foreign room. A few people knowing I’d work there came. A girl, having no ideas what would be happening was committed into office where I was prepared (having a camera, a tape recorder and a reflector) to interrogate her. After one hour I set her at liberty. She left the building together with other people. J.M.

This action took place in the management office of the Museum of Decorative Arts where employees were regularly screened after the 1968 occupation. In such interviews the employees’ political views were checked and personnel changes were made accordingly. Mlčoch chose a girl he did not know from the group of spectators that had come to see his action and interrogated her behind closed doors. This action imitated the atmosphere of that period in which uncertainty reigned: waiting for an unknown reason, the random choice of victims and the psychological pressure – all part of the instrument of power wielded by the communist regime.
