The Youth Park represented a major accomplishment in early-1970s Bucharest and was abuzz with people taking care of freshly planted flowers and trees as well as the newly constructed fountains. This park was the subject of several lithographs that Florina Coulin produced based on the many photographs she took there. In this instance, the texture of the grass is provided by separate layers of olive and brick-red tones that are meant to capture its luminosity, while the motif of the runners was added based on another impression using a preexisting linocut template.
