ASEMIE - die Unfähigkeit sich durch Minenspiel ausdrücken zu können

On the same high plateau of civilization represented by the platform, the drama of the human being as creator unfolds. On the same level as the bird, the human experiences the experience of the bird. The human wants to be free as the bird flies. He seeks this freedom in communication; he wants to express and communicate this message of freedom. But as soon as he casts his longing in concrete form, trying to embed it in the regulated code of understandable communications, the message is extinguished. Just as the bird weakens under the wax, suffering as proxy the drama of the human persepctive, so do human motor functions likewise stiffen underneath the wax, the human freezing into a lifeless wax figure that is no longer able to communicate, although there is so much to say. Human and bird as partners/parts of an anthropomorphic sculpture, the statue (the fine arts) as a freezing of the power of visual expression (of human communication), demonstrate in the tensions between the materials - bird (symbol of fantasy and freedom), wax (symbol of lifelessness), human - and in the tensions between the forms (movement and torpor) the tragedy of human self-expression.
