Little Warsaw

Little Warsaw, the Hungarian artist duo of András Gálik and Bálint Havas, working together since 1999, create situations that are realized as a consequence of context displacements of cultural entities. An object, often a work of art is taken out of its original site and placed into a different place where the commentary and unexpected reactions become definitive part of the project. In their artistic practice they analyze the relation to the tradition of artistic production, in which traditional sculpture and monument play a central role.
